UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento died on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 34. The organization confirmed his death in an official statement, saying Nascimento was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep. Responding medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
“This morning, Monday, August 3rd, our beloved flyweight fighter, Allan Nascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep,” the UFC said. “Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Fighters Dustin Poirier and Mackenzie Dern were among those who responded publicly to the UFC’s announcement. No independent medical authority or coroner’s report had been released as of publication, and Nascimento’s family had not issued a separate public statement.
A Career Built on Persistence
Nascimento, nicknamed “Puro Osso,” was born September 11, 1991, in São Paulo, Brazil, and trained out of the storied Chute Boxe camp. He turned professional in 2011 and compiled a 22-7 record over a career spanning 15 years, competing for promotions including Legacy FC and RIZIN before making a run at the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018, where he lost a split decision to Raulian Paiva.
He signed with the UFC in late 2021 and went 4-2 across six appearances in the promotion’s flyweight division, earning Performance of the Night bonuses for submission finishes of Carlos Hernandez in January 2023 and Cody Durden in November 2025 — his final fight. He also recorded unanimous-decision wins over Jake Hadley and Jafel Filho.
Outside the cage, Nascimento was a longtime training partner and close friend of former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, a relationship that placed him at the center of one of Brazilian MMA’s most respected camps.
What Remains Unconfirmed
The UFC’s statement describes an “apparent heart attack,” but no autopsy findings, medical examiner’s report, or official cause of death has been confirmed by an independent authority at this time. Details of funeral or memorial arrangements have not been publicly released. This report will be updated as verified information becomes available.
